The National Committee for the Critical Perspectives Conference in partnership with the Department of Criminology, Wilfrid Laurier University will be hosting the 2019 National Conference on Critical Perspectives in Criminology and Social Justice (NCCP) in Brantford, Ontario from May 2nd to 4th 2019. The theme for the ninth annual conference is “From Critical Perspective to Practice: Bridging Criminology, Criminal Justice, and Social Justice.” The 2019 NCCP will include a keynote presentation by Dr. Paul Leighton co-author of The Rich Get Richer and the Poor Get Prison, and Professor, Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminology, Eastern Michigan University.
